Guitar Pro Viewer
Open a Guitar Pro or MusicXML file, read it as notation and tab, play it back, and print it or save it as a PDF — all in your browser. The file never leaves your computer.
Loading engine…
Guitar Pro 3–8 (.gp3, .gp4, .gp5, .gpx, .gp) and MusicXML (.xml, .musicxml, .mxl). The file stays on your computer — nothing is uploaded.
Supported files
- Guitar Pro 3, 4 and 5 (
.gp3,.gp4,.gp5) - Guitar Pro 6 (
.gpx) and Guitar Pro 7 / 8 (.gp) - MusicXML (
.xml,.musicxml, compressed.mxl) — for example exported from MuseScore
Multi-track files show the first track by default; tick the others to add them to the score. Playback always includes every track.
Printing and PDF
Print / Save as PDFlays the shown tracks out on A4 pages and opens your browser's print dialog. Choose Save as PDFas the destination to export a file. Line breaks follow TellMeScore's engine, so the pages are clean but not pixel-identical to Guitar Pro's own layout; As in file keeps the bars-per-line stored in Guitar Pro 6+ files.
Want to write your own? The editor creates tabs from scratch, and Open in editor… turns one six-string track of the file you opened into an editable TellMeScore song — optionally with a second track (vocal, keyboard, another guitar) as the melody staff above the tab. The remaining tracks and drums stay behind. See the viewer guide for what carries over.
